National Book Awards
The National Book Awards were established in 1936. National
Book Awards are currently given to one book annually in each of four
categories. The National Book Awards has honoured American journalist Katherine
boo for
her book Behind the beautiful forevers in the non fiction category on
November 15, 2012 and the National book Award for Fiction was given to novelist
Louise Erdrich's the Round House Boo is also shortlisted for the Guardian first
book award, and missed out on Samuel Johnson prize to wade Davis earlier this
week.
