Rakesh Mohan Assumed Charge as Executive Director on Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

     Rakesh Mohan has assumed charge as Executive Director on the Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on November 3, 2012.  in addition to India, Dr. Mohan will be representing Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan on the IMF Board for a three-year term. Prior to joining the IMF, Dr. Mohan was a Professor at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University.

Vishakha Desai Appointed Member of  National Museum and Library Services Board 



India- born Vishakha Desai, a leading expert on Asian Art, has been appointed by the Obama administration as member of the national Museum and Library Services Board on November 21, 2012.  She was the President of Association of Art6 Museum Directors from 1998 to 1999, and was on the boards of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Leadership Education for Asian University for Women, and the Massachusetts Foundation for Humanities. She is also on the board of the Brookings Institution, and is an advisor and reviewer for the new York city advisory Commission for Cultural Affairs.
