Sanctions
Against Iran
The US
placed fresh wave of sanctions against Iran due to its nuclear proliferation
network on July 13, 2012. The sanctions are in continuation of actions taken
against Iran since 2006 to target its nuclear proliferation activities. It has
blacklisted 20 Iranian Financial Institutions. The Us has deployed a fleet of
robotic submarine mine clearers named sea Fox submersibles to the strait of
Hormuz to counter the threats by Iran.
